Dr Ben Dawson
Clinical Psychologist in Neuropsychology and Major Trauma
Ben is a qualified and HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, with specialisms in Neuropsychology and Major Trauma. Ben has worked primarily in the NHS, with some time spent in the private sector. In 2016, Ben became the Major Trauma Psychologist within the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology at Salford Royal Hospital, and provides inpatient and outpatient services. Salford Royal Hospital, and the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences, are leaders and innovators in Neurological practice, and the Department of Clinical Neuropsychology is renowned for its specialist clinical services, and research. Ben's work involves practice in assessment, formulation, and rehabilitation intervention, and Ben continues to lead on trauma, serious injury, and major incident work, at a local and national level.
Ben has specialist interests in traumatic brain injury, mental capacity assessment, neurorehabilitation, poly trauma, major incident response and planning, and sports rehabilitation.
He also lectures at, and supervises for, Manchester, Liverpool, Lancaster, and Manchester Metropolitan Universities.

Associates
Ben works with a number of associate Clinical Psychologists with backgrounds in Neuropsychology and Trauma. Whilst Ben continues to head up Project Trauma services, other Psychologists may be involved to provide input where most appropriate.
